Fine French Cognacs: Camus Cognac Introduces Three New Limited Edition Cognacs At Tax Free World Association (TFWA) Exibition In Cannes, France

Camus Cognac is introducing three new limited editions, along with new sizes for its Elegance range, at the TFWA World Exhibition next month.

Camus Masterpiece Collection by Cyril Camus, Cuvée 4.176

The Camus Masterpiece Collection by Cyril Camus, Cuvée 4.176 is a rare, limited-edition Cognac composed of four eaux-de-vie from the Petite Champagne area, guaranteed to be at least 43 years old and including two vintage Cognacs from 1962 and 1964.

This is the second edition of the Camus Masterpiece Collection by Cyril Camus, and only 980 decanters will be made available in the world.

Reduced to no further than 43°, this Cognac combines the spiciness of the 1962, the woody essence of the 1964, and the fruity roundness and creamy texture of the 43-year old Cognacs.

The collection is presented in a finely crafted Baccarat crystal decanter designed by Serge Mansau, one of France’s most prestigious artists.
Camus Rarissimes

Camus is also introducing two new Camus Rarissimes vintage Cognacs from 1973 and 1991, both originating from the Petite Champagne area.

Vintage Cognacs are strictly controlled by law; 1969 marks the beginning of formally certified vintage production in Cognac, according to Camus. Prior to this date, vintage production was possible, but only if special measures were taken by individual producers – vintages are thus extremely rare in the Cognac industry.
Both are available as limited editions: only 1,950 bottles of the 1973 vintage and 2,800 bottles of the 1991 vintage will be available globally.

The two new additions complete the Camus Rarissimes offer, which includes four other vintages: 1988, 1980, 1974 and 1970. All these vintages are certified, non chill-filtered and bottled at 46° alcohol, without further reduction, allowing the Cognacs to retain the full strength of their aromas and character, Camus said.

Camus Cognac will also preview the new Rarissimes packaging in Cannes – an elegant wooden box, enhanced by a gold metal plate.

Camus Elegance: new sizes for travel retail

Already available in a 70cl size, Camus is now introducing a new Camus XO Elegance 1L, Camus VSOP Elegance 50cl and Camus VS Elegance 50cl size for travel retail. These new sizes are being added to better meet the expectations of travellers.

Camus Brand Manager Coralie Alingrin said: “Since 1863, the philosophy of the Camus family has been to offer consumers a choice of distinctive premium Cognacs, exploring all the richness and diversity of the Cognac growing area. The travel retail business has been key in building the success of the Camus brand and still remains a vital factor today, alongside the development of our domestic market presence.
