Anyone still seeking proof of Vancouver’s blossoming cocktail culture need look no further than last Monday’s Bartender Shakedown, a lively highlight of the B.C. Hospitality Foundation’s Dish ‘n Dazzle fundraiser.

In assembling the contest, bartender about town Jay Jones (BarJonesing.com) brought together six of B.C.’s brightest and best alchemists, each teamed to create the ultimate concoction with one of the following premium spirits: Hendricks Gin, Campari, Hennessy VO cognac, Glenmorangie “The Original” Single Malt Whiskey, and Olmeca Tequila.
