Marketing Cognac: Martell Cognac Finding Success With “Martell Experience Boutiques” In Hong Kong And Kuala Lumpur Airports

Pernod Ricard-owned brand Martell has welcomes the success of its second Martell Experience Boutique in Asia/Pacific travel-retail at Kuala Lumpur International airport, following the first such venture at Hong Kong International airport earlier in 2010. The boutique, which opened at the end of last year, was designed to allow travellers to learn more about the brand’s product range and purchase cognacs in a relaxed environment.

The store uses “elegant wall units and warm lighting to convey luxury and reinforce the brand’s premium credentials”, according to the company. The focus point is the Martell Discovery Table, where consumers can learn about the Cognac region in an interactive manner.

Martell & Co chairman and CEO Lionel Breton said: “The Martell Experience Boutique is an innovative way for travellers to discover more about the history of Martell, the unique style and the specific know how of this luxury cognac. Since the boutique opened we have seen an extremely positive reaction from consumers to the high-quality design and an increased interest in the brand and its products.”
