Twenty-five rare Cognacs will go under the hammer at the Sixth Annual Part des Anges 2011 Cognac charity auction. Taking place on September 15 at the Chais Monnet in Cognac, it is an opportunity to acquire specially-made Cognacs donated by the major houses and rub shoulders with cellar masters, growers, distillers, coopers and glass makers. Since it began the charity auction has raised €200,000 and it is hoped that last year's record bid of €16,000 will be topped. Among the lots selected will be the last remaining carafe from a limited edition run of only 2,000 of a blend of 11 eaux-de-vie from the twentieth century and a one-off, hand-blown bottle, which has been made for this year's auction.
